War ensued between the two species, humans and the silent aliens called the Never-ending. Forty years ago, the survival of one of the two races was held in the hands of one person – a gamin enigma with silver hair called Jink!
Who she is, what she is, what drives her, no one knows. But the world government and its military want Jink now – for it seems the forty-year peace is falling apart. The trouble is, Jink doesn’t want ot be found, certainly not by the elite telepathic Black Snakes. So the Skyward has recruited the good-hearted but luckless Kullyn Kenn to find the mysterious Jink, hoping that his innocence will succeed where intrigue and high technology have failed…
